ANNUAL DINNER - Oct - 15th

Yet another shipping container has been provided for Zimbabwe Gecko.
We are so very thankful to our donors who allow us to minister to the
people of Zimbabwe in this way.

We are blessed to be able to give to the needy  in Zimbabwe  many of
whom   have nothing.     A good deal of the container will be much
needed medical supplies,  however,  we intend on  supporting a new
program in a new area Chugutu - about 11/2 hrs from Harare.

The program will be multipurpose   - Container will be transformed
into a housing unit for students in training  and a training center
for a farming program using the Farming God's Way teachers and
materials. The grounds will hold a sample agriculture  lot for students to

There will be a second container used (need to purchase in Zim
(US $2000)for use as a  carpentry training center as well as  sewing
courses.   Possibly the purchase of a 3rd container in Zim for  a non
official school program for orphans, a church, and community center.

Our ideas as well as the ideas of Pastor Gift and Ben Freeth in
Zimbabwe  are as big as our donations.   We have a well established
relationship with these people and the community.  Ben and Gift head
up the FGW programs.

The Container  will travel  from Compassionate Warehouse operating  in Victoria BC and  headed up by Dell Marie Wergeland and her team of volunteers. They get at least two containers worth of goods into one.   They work so incredibly hard for us.

If you would like to help, please bring any of the following items  to the  WRBC  office (140th Street in S.Surrey) by September 25th  or  earlier.  The earlier the better.

ANNUAL DINNER - October 15th, 2016 -

WR Baptist Church

Once again we look forward to sharing with you all that was accomplished in Zimbabwe from December to April. We want to share with you our challenges and victories. Harry, Frank and I came back exhausted but fulfilled in the knowledge that we were able to accomplish all that we set out to do. To God be the Glory. Many thanks to all who prayed for us I truly believe we accomplish all we do because you pray. Dr Markham and wife Alison who is a board member hope to be with us and share all that the medical team were able to accomplish as we worked together for the good of the country and people.

It would be most helpful to me if you could book a table of 8 and ask your friends to join you for a great evening of good food, shared stories with pictures and shared friendships. Not to mention door prizes, Wine board and great auction items. The gecko sales table will also be available and also some fantastic table cloths to be purchased. We also hope to have some surprise entertainment. There is a maximum of 25 tables that can be booked and to date we have not filled them all in any given year. Let us make a great effort this year to fill the room. Please book your tables now. When you book your table please let me know of food allergies for you and your guests.

The evening will consist of :

- A Home Cooked African Dinner

- LOTS OF DOOR PRIZES  -   WINE BOARD -  GIFT BASKET DRAWS - ART -  GECKO TABLE, featuring wire ornaments created by the children of Zimbabwe.

- A presentation by Susan Janetti

Any one wishing to donate a bottle of wine for the wine board (not home made) please contact Susan.

There will be of course, an opportunity to donate to the Zimbabwe Gecko Society. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to our projects in Zimbabwe.

So, please join us for a fun evening and help us with this worthy cause. We look forward to seeing you there!
